If you’re planning a trip to Thailand, the Loi Krathong is the best time to visit.
What is Loi Krathong? It is a festival happening every November where you can see floating baskets and thousands of candle-lit banana leaf boats known as Krathong and are released in waterways and even floating lanterns in the sky.
The festival was celebrated by everyone in Chiang Mai and nearby places. But the highlights of the event is all about the floating of the Krathong and thousands of lanterns flying. You’ll see and hear fireworks, a parade and many more.
So what makes the event epic? It's because I fell asleep because of my flu when I arrived. So haven't experience the most lanterns flying up in the sky. But I tried it on the second day with fewer lanterns flying. You can watch the video below.
