"The celebration of us" is this year's theme for the Kalilangan Festival 2019 in General Santos City as they celebrate the 80th Founding Anniversary.
Kalilangan derives from the word "Kalilang" which means a celebration or commemoration in the Maguindanao dialect.
This is a celebration of recognizing diversity to foster oneness and inclusivity. There are a series of events that brought more fun and excitement. The festival week happened last February 27 - March 03, 2019.

There were different food stalls installed in the long street of Santiago Boulevard. The government closed the road for the 2-day events in the said area.
