This is Tagum's lighting of Giant Christmas Tree, A yearly Christmas Tradition that has started since the year 2000.
This year's Christmas Tree stands with a towering height of 182 ft., which is higher than the 176 ft record last year (2017) and according to the local government, this is considered to be the tallest Christmas Tree in the Philippines this year.
It is composed of 10 layers representing the 10 development thrust of the City Government of Tagum with 233,400 bulbs were used to light up the said Christmas Icon. It has also a 12 ft stars on the top with 23 little stars on it representing the 23 barangays of Tagum and 7 rays representing the 7th city council.
The giant Christmas Tree will light up every night from 6 PM up to January 2019.
