Tagum's Giant Holiday Tree

YOUR EYE IN THE SKY  they say! This is the tallest Christmas Tree in the country according to the City Information Office of the City Government of Tagum. This year the giant Christmas Tree or also known as the Giant Holiday Tree rises up to 172.5 ft or 2,070 inches vertically. 


The giant holiday tree is the most awaited event in Tagum City where thousands of Tagumenyos gathered together to witness the one of the highlight of the week long parochial fiesta celebration. This time the giant tree was installed in a new location in front of the City Hall of Tagum, Apokon Road, Tagum City (formerly installed at Freedom Park) which is the said institution was also moved. 


According to Hon. Mayor Allan L. Rellon the tree was named as "THE TREE OF HOPE" because part of our culture and tradition is to put a Christmas Tree in our respective homes where everyone is making this as a symbol during the Christmas seasons.


The Giant Holiday Tree will be open to the public where you can enjoy your selfies with your friends and families every 6:00 pm nightly up to 2:00 o'clock in the morning.

Whats the Giant Holiday Tree all about?


On the top, There are 23 small stars that represents the 23 barangays of Tagum City while the one big star represents the whole city. There are 3,457 sets of LED Rice Bulbs used around the three and the installation took at least 2 months with a total value of 2.4 million cost estimate.


The giant holiday tree indeed turned to one of the tagum's icons.
