Visiting The Philippine Eagles and Malagos Garden Resort

By itsmejamesrhed - March 13, 2016

Are you planning to visit Davao? If yes, then you must include The Philippine Eagle Center in your itinerary. The Philippine Eagle Center is located at Malagos, Baguio District Davao City. It's a 1 hour and 3 minutes (estimated) ride or 37 km away from Davao International Airport.

How to get there? Well, if you have your own car then it is very convenient in your part, but if you will take a public vehicle you can directly proceed to Bankerohan and look for the terminal of Air-conditioned Jeep or Van going to Calinan, the fare is Php 25.00/person. Upon reaching Calinan, you ask the driver to drop you to the terminal going to The Philippine Eagle Center. From the terminal it's about 5.1 km away or 11 minutes ride. The fare I guess is Php 15.00 /person but in our case we asked the driver to take us back and forth and going also to another destination so we bid for Php 200.00 exclusively for the 3 of us.

The Entrance fee is Php. 125.00 and you can tour the whole center. You can take photos with the eagles but you should minimize your voice. They also have a bird show every 11:00am so definitely you should come here by that time for you to witness the bird show.

Next destination is the Malagos Garden Resort. From the Phillipine Eagle Center it's about 1.4km away or 4 minutes ride (estimated).

What 's in Malagos Garden Resort? Well the famous Waling-Waling or an orchid flower is located here. The place is perfect for nature lover. They also caters function like weddings and any kinds of occasion. They also have a bird sanctuary which you can hold and feed them. Our tour here is very quick since my friends are in a hurry to catch their flight in few hours.
